Did you know Ordering
Clinicians can be assigned a unique Personal
Identification Number
(PIN)? When an Ordering
Clinician (OC) receives a notification of a
Critical Result, she or he has to dial an 800
number and input a six-digit access code.
However, to ease the Ordering Clinician's
retrieval of a Critical Result, Veriphy offers
each Ordering Clinician the ability to set-up her
or his own PIN. The PIN eliminates the need
to input a different access code each time a
Critical Result is received. Once the OC has
setup her or his PIN, they simply input their PIN
in place of the six-digit access code and can
retrieve the Critical Result. For more
information and sample communication tools to send
to Ordering Clinicians regarding the PIN, please
contact your Account Manager.

Did you know Veriphy
can Embargo Results that do not require immediate
attention?
Lower severity
result notifications, i.e. a lung nodule,
requiring follow-up care, but are not immediately
life threatening can be set-up with an Embargo
timeframe. The Embargo timeframe will hold
Veriphy notifications in a queue to prevent
disruptive notifications to Ordering Clinicians
for that specific severity. The level of
severity is determined by the Radiologist, Lab
Tech, Anatomical Pathologist, and each facility
can determine not only which severity levels
include Embargo, but will also determine the
timeframes. If you have additional
questions, or need to make changes to your current
Embargo times, please contact your Account Manager
for assistance.

Did you know Veriphy is available to
help make updates to your Ordering Clinician
Directory and in particular assist with adding
incoming Residents?
As new Clinicians begin placing orders at
your facility, there are many ways to ensure they
are effectively added to Veriphy. Extensive
lists of Residents, for example, can be emailed to
Veriphy for an automated upload and the Account
Managers can help make sure they are associated to
any Clinical Teams you may use. All new Clinicians
can also be emailed to Veriphy to be added to the
directory per your defined Data Maintenance
policy.

Did you know a group of
Clinicians can be setup as a Clinical Team in
Veriphy to help facilitate communication of
Critical Results?
The Clinical Team functionality allows a
group of physicians to be notified of a Veriphy
message in a common format. A shared device
can be used, or in many cases escalation of
notifications can be sent to a shared device or
supervising Clinician. The benefit of this
functionality is best seen when a service area,
specialty group, department, or residents should
be communicated to in a team format vs. as
individuals. Your Account Manager can assist
with information on when a Clinical Team may
benefit your facility or an area within the
Ordering Clinician community.
