In this
edition of eTIPS,
you will find tips about how Nuance is
planning to upgrade the Veriphy CTRM Data Center
to better accommodate continued growth and optimal
performance, how you can enter or say the 6
digit message ID when calling to retrieve a
Veriphy message, and how to configure your Message
Center display to view older messages.

Did you know that Nuance is planning
a Data Center upgrade for the Veriphy CTRM
system?
This upgrade is
to accommodate the continued growth in the Veriphy
CTRM platform while ensuring optimal performance
and reliability. Please note that this is
NOT a software release and no
changes or application upgrades will be required
on your behalf. Nuance plans to
be performing the Data Center
upgrade mid-to-late February,
2010. During this upgrade, the Veriphy system
will be taken offline and will
NOT be available to send or
retrieve critical test results for a short period
of time. The exact date and duration of the
outage related to this upgrade will be
communicated as soon as possible once the final
planning is completed.

Did you
know you can enter OR say the 6 digit message ID
when calling to retrieve a Veriphy
message?
You could be anywhere when you're notified of
a Veriphy message -- a busy Emergency Department,
or perhaps in transit while making
rounds. That's why Veriphy gives you the
option to say the 6 digit message ID or enter it
on your telephone keypad. Depending on your
surroundings and circumstances, you may find one
option more suitable than the other.
In a busy setting with a lot of
background noise we recommend you enter the
message ID on your telephone keypad, as the system
may have difficulty distinguishing your voice from
the noise. In other situations, such as while
in transit or using a hands-free device, you may
find it easier to say the ID rather than stop and
enter it on your phone. The
Veriphy system recognizes both speech and touch
tones, and either method can be used at any point
during the call, not just for the message
ID. If you have difficulty with one method,
we encourage you to try the other option as
well. If after trying both, you're still
having trouble, please contact Veriphy Support and
they will be happy to assist
you.

Did you know you can configure your
Message Center display to view older
messages?
Your Message Center screen displays any
messages created that have not been closed.
However, when you filter the Message Center to
view "Closed" messages, by default it will only
display closed messages that were created within
the last 5 days. You can customize this view
to show older messages through your individual
Veriphy Profile. To do so,
simply select Profile from the Tools Tab drop down
list. At the very bottom of the Profile
screen you will see the Message Center
Configuration section.
- Enter the number of days in the Show all
Closed messages since last days field.
- Click Update to save the
information.
You can enter any number up to 14. If
you need to see more closed messages, contact your
Account Manager and they can work with you to
display up to 30 days of closed messages.

Meet Jennifer
Kirkley
Jennifer Kirkley is an Account Manager and
has been working with the Veriphy product a little
over a year now. In this role, she anticipates her
clients' needs by assessing their usage of the
system and encourages them to utilize new
functionality to better meet Patient Safety goals.
Jennifer acts as the first point of contact for
her clients and meets with them regularly to
review reporting needs, trends, new features, and
address any concerns they may have. Jennifer
views her role with her clients as a partnership,
working with them to constantly improve in order
to better serve their own clients.
Jennifer recently purchased
her first home and has been quite busy settling in
and making it her own. These days her hobbies
outside of Nuance include home repair, decorating,
and frequent trips to Home Depot. She also
enjoys live music, photography, traveling, and
spending time at the lake when it's
warm.

support center is staffed 24-hours a day, 7-days a
