When attempting to generate a V3.5.1 Client publication in the Client Admin on a Windows 2008 Non-R2 Server, the following message displays:
This is a problem with the Windows version not supporting SHA-256.
In V3.5.1, SHA-256 encryption is used to sign Clients. Windows 2008 does NOT support SHA-256. See Microsoft Security Advisory 3033929 for details.
Since this is a Windows issue, the only resolution is to upgrade Windows to a version higher than 2008 (ensuring the version is supported).
