After rebooting a standalone non-clustered web server, the RadBridge service may not start automatically even when it is set to automatic.

From the Windows Event Viewer logs, under Application, the following RadBridge message displays:

This can occur if the RadBridge service on the webserver starts BEFORE the World Wide Web Publishing service. If this occurs, then RadBridge is unable to communicate with the RAS web application services, and the service fails to start.

As a work around, you can set the RadBridge service startup type to Automatic (Delayed Start) by performing the following steps:

1. Launch the Windows Services Management Console.
2. Location the Nuance RadBridge service
3. Go to the properties of the service, and change the Startup Type:

   

NOTE: Changing the startup type only resolves RadBridge not starting after reboots. This will not address any issue with RadBridge not starting at all. If the server is a cluster, DO NOT CHANGE THE STARTUP TYPE OR YOU WILL BREAK THE CLUSTER.
