Message:

An error occurred trying to load speech files. Speech functionality will be
disabled:

The speech model in this user profile is damaged. Please open the backup
version of the profile by choosing Restore User Profile on the Profile menu.

When logging on, the following message displays intermittently:

This can be caused by a multitude of issues, such as actual profile corruption, but CAN be caused by a network optimization appliance returning cached versions of files in the speech profile instead of the latest file version.

To confirm, you must enable additional logging in the Dragon log.

To do so, add the following to the [Tracing] section of the C:\ProgramData\Nuance\Dragon SDK Client Edition12\nssystem.ini file:

Roaming User=1
Roaming User Copy Times=1

Once that is done, and the issue has been reproduced, you can run the Dragon log through the Support Portal log parser again, which will flag the offending lines.

However, there is no true workaround for this. Traffic should be either routed around the network optimizer appliance, or caching of files to and from the PS360 server MUST be disabled.
