Voice Command

Description

"All Caps Off"

Stops typing words in all uppercase letters

"All Caps On"

Starts typing words in all uppercase letters

"All Caps That"

Capitalizes all letters of the selected text

"Apply Findings" or

"Apply Smart Template"

Applies findings to template

"Approve Report"

Approves the report (used by resident providers to return a report to an attending for final review and signature)

"AutoFeed"

Toggles the AutoFeed feature on/off

"AutoText <name>" (NB)

Inserts named AutoText, if relevant.

NOTE: AutoText is the default AutoText voice command trigger. If you selected a different AutoText voice command (in Tools > Preferences > Dictation > AutoText voice command), replace the word AutoText with the command you selected. Other choices include Macro, PowerScribe, or Dictaphone.

"AutoText That" or
"Macro That"

Creates new AutoText, using selected text

"Backspace"

Deletes the previous character; moves backward one space

"Beginning of Document" or "Top of Document"

Moves the cursor to the beginning of the current report

"Beginning of Line"

Moves the cursor to the beginning of the current line

"BI-RAD Code <code>" or

"BI-RADS Code <code>"

Inserts BI-RADS code, or codes, in report header

"Bold That"

Changes the selected text to bold typeface

"Capitalize That" (NB)

Capitalizes the first letter of each word of the selected text (also referred to as title case)

"Capture Image"

Activates image capture mode

"Check Spelling"

Opens the Spell Check dialog box if errors are found

"Close Report"

Prompts to save report and returns to Explorer window (unless AutoFeed is selected)

"Compare Revisions"

Opens the Compare Revision dialog box.

"Copy Document"

Copies the text of the entire document to the Windows Clipboard

"Copy That"

Copies selected text to Windows Clipboard

"Correct <word>" (NB)

Opens the Correction dialog box, with dictated word in the Correction window

“Correct Report” or

“Send to Editor”

Sends selected report to editor for correction

"Correct That" (NB)

Opens the Correction Menu dialog box

"Delete That" (NB)

Removes both the audio and text of the highlighted text or the last dictated phrase.

"Delete <text> Through <text>"

Deletes the range of selected text

"Dictaphone Today"

Inserts today’s date into the report

"Dictaphone Yesterday"

Inserts yesterday’s date into the report

"Discard Report"

Deletes the report without saving changes

"End of Document" or
"Bottom of Document"

Moves the cursor to the end of the current report

"End of Line"

Moves the cursor to the end of the current line

"Exit Field"

Positions cursor outside current field

"Get PACS Image" or
"Take Snapshot"

Gets PACS image

"Hide PowerScribe"

Minimizes the PowerScribe 360 | Reporting window to the Windows Task bar (see also Show PowerScribe voice command)

"Insert Contributors"

Opens Contributors window

"Insert Custom Fields"

Opens Custom Fields window

"Insert Diagnosis Codes"

Opens Diagnosis Codes window

"Insert No Change Report"

Inserts selected prior report and a no change statement

"Italics That" or

"Italicize That"

Italicizes the selected text

"New AutoText"

"New Macro"

Creates new AutoText. Requires that you select the text that you want to include in the AutoText. When you issue the voice command, the new AutoText is created and the selected text is placed in the AutoText message box field.

"New Line"

Inserts a new line

"No Caps That"

Does not capitalize selected text

"Normal Report"

Associates report with appropriate AutoText, and prompts for signing as a normal report

"Numeral <x>" (NB)

Types number rather than word

"Paragraph"  or

"New Paragraph" (NB)

Inserts a new paragraph

"Paste That"

Pastes text from Windows Clipboard into document

"Print Report"

Prints the selected report

"Pronunciation Training" or “Train Phrase”

Opens the Training dialog box, allowing you to spell and train a word. If you select a word or phrase before speaking the command, opens the Train Words dialog box.

"Redo That"

Re-applies the last dictated utterance or last command

“Reject Report” or

“Return Report”

Returns the selected report to the resident or editor; opens the Note dialog box to allow you to add a note before returning.

"Save as Draft" or
"Draft Report"

Saves the current report in the Drafts folder under My Reports

"Save as Wet Read" or
"Wet Read Report"

Saves the current report in the Wet Reads folder under My Reports

"Save Report"

Saves the current report without closing

"Scratch That" (NB)

Removes both the audio and text of the highlighted text or the last dictated phrase.

"Select <text>"

Highlights the specified text

"Select <text> Through <text>"

Highlights the range of selected text

"Select Again"

Highlights next instance of selected text

"Select All"

Highlights entire document

"Select That"

Highlights your last utterance. An utterance is marked by a pause in your dictation.

"Send as Preliminary"

For residents only: Sends a draft version of a report to the RIS without changing its status to Pending Signature. The report remains in the resident's Draft queue.

"Show PowerScribe"

Restores the PowerScribe 360 | Reporting window as the active window (see also Hide PowerScribe voice command)

"Sign as Preliminary"

For attending providers only: Signs report as Preliminary and saves it in your Signing queue

"Sign Report" or

"Sign Off Report"

Signs the current report

"Spell That"

Opens the Spelling Window dialog box

"Spell <letters>"

Opens the Spell dialog box and places the letters you dictated into the box. Requires that the option "Spell" commands bring up Spelling Window check box is selected (located in Speech > Options > Correction).

"Start Bullets"

"Stop Bullets"

Starts Bullet mode; Stops Bullet mode

"Start Dictation"

"Stop Dictation"

Enter Dictation mode; Exit Dictation mode

"Start Numbering"

"Stop Numbering"

Starts Numbering mode; Stops Numbering mode

"Train That"

Opens and places selected words in the Train Words dialog box

"Transcribe Report"

Transcribes the current dictation in the report

"Underline That"

Underlines the selected text

"Undo That"

Removes only the text of the last dictated phrase; the audio portion remains in the report.

NOTE: If you use “Undo That” after “Scratch That,” the deleted text is re-displayed but the audio is not restored.
