Wet Read Reports

Depending upon how your administrator has set up the system, you can save a report as either a wet read, a draft, or neither. (Think of a wet read as a “pre-draft” type of report.) Saving a report as a wet read places the report in your Wet Read queue. Either attending or resident providers can create a wet read report. Any attending or resident provider can promote a wet read report to a draft status.

NOTE: Wet read reports cannot be sent to an editor. If you want to send your reports to an editor, ask your PowerScribe 360 | Reporting administrator to:

  • Assign the Allow correctionist workflow permission to your user account, and

  • Allow you to choose between Draft and Wet Read when creating new reports.

You can then send your draft reports to an editor, if you choose to.

After you open, read, and save a wet read report, a dialog box opens giving you the opportunity to add a note to the report.

The text of the wet read is maintained once the report is promoted to Draft status. As the author of a wet read report, you can flag any discrepancy found in the report.

From the Explorer window, you can search for wet reads either by clicking the Wet Reads link in the My Reports section (to find your wet reads), or by selecting Wet Reads from the Status drop-down list in the Browse section (if available).

To create a wet read report:

1.  From the Explorer screen, click New and select Wet Read. The report window opens with the header text assigned by your administrator appearing at the top.

2.  Dictate or type your report.

3.  When finished, click the Wet Read icon at the top of the window to place the report in your Wet Reads queue (under My Reports).

To promote a wet read report to a draft report:

1.  From the Explorer screen, open the report you want to promote.

2.  In the Report Editor screen, click the Save as Draft icon in the toolbar, or click File > Draft.
