Release notes for Dragon Medical 360 | Direct 2.1 Service Release 2 (2.1.102.392)
New features
- The MSI command line installer now properly supports the built-in
INSTALLDIR
parameter to customize the deployment location. [SOD-212]
- The MSI command line installer now provides an optional input parameter
OEMSPLASHSCREEN
that enables you to deploy a custom splash screen overlay. [SOD-213]
To set this parameter, pass the path to your overlay image to the MSI command line while deploying; the MSI installer copies the file to the destination location. Example: msiexec /i Standalone.msi … OEMSPLASHSCREEN "./SoD.OEM.png"
- The MSI command line installer now provides an optional input parameter
CONFIGTEMPLATE
that enables you to deploy a configuration file prepared for your deployment, instead of passing information spread over multiple input parameters. [SOD-149]
If CONFIGTEMPLATE
is passed as a parameter, all other command line parameters provided by DM360 Direct are ignored (you can still use OEMSPLASHSCREEN
to deploy an overlay image in addition to the configuration file). Example: msiexec /i Standalone.msi CONFIGTEMPLATE "./SoD.exe.config"
Important information
- With the introduction of the MSI installer parameter
CONFIGTEMPLATE
, new MSI parameters will no longer be added when adding configuration options to the configuration file. In an upcoming release, the existing DM360 Direct-specific parameters will be removed; CONFIGTEMPLATE
is the preferred option to configure the deployed DM360 Direct instance.

End-of-life: Third party environments
Support for third party environments is only valid as long as they are supported by the corresponding vendor and might be subject to other restrictions. Please contact Nuance Technical Support for details. For more information, see the documentation delivered with the third party product and supporting Nuance documentation.
When support by the vendor has stopped, Nuance will continue support if an issue is specific to the Nuance solution, within the limitations of the vendor’s and Nuance's end-of-life policy. This means that issues that are a combination of the vendor’s component and the Nuance solution cannot be supported.
