Nuance PowerMic III support
- The new Nuance PowerMic III device is now supported.
Nuance PowerMic II and Nuance PowerMic III RDS support
- Nuance PowerMic II and Nuance PowerMic III device button forwarding, in Microsoft RDS virtualization environments, is now supported. Additionally, an optimized (for audio quality and bandwidth) audio channel for the Microsoft RDS virtualization environment is provided; for more information, see the administration guide.
Be aware that this support depends on the latest RDS extensions (version 25.0.22.1); for more information see the documentation in the Nuance_RDS_Audio_Extensions.zip package.

- Users can now record how a word is pronounced.
- New voice command to record how a word is pronounced: train word.
Improvements
General
- Nuance PowerMic Mobile is now delivered as an integrated part of Dragon Medical One Desktop Application; it no longer relies on a separate process to communicate with the PowerMic Mobile Service. The port requirements are now inline with the Dragon Medical One Desktop Application port requirements; this means that ports 8010 and 8731 are no longer required for PowerMic Mobile.
Application support
-
Additional versions of text controls are now supported:
TE Edit Control versions 21 and 22
TX Text Control versions 20, 21, 22 and 23
Virtual Server environment
- Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop 7.9 are now supported.
Command line start-up (SOD-6056, SOD-6057)
- If only one speech recognition topic is configured, this topic is automatically specified for the end user (even if the
topic
command line parameter is not passed).
- If more than one speech recognition topic is configured and the
topic
command line parameter is not specified, the end user is asked to select a speech recognition topic in the logon dialog box (once). Dragon Medical One Desktop Application then sets the topic last used for a specific user without presenting the logon dialog box again.
- If the set of allowed microphones is configured and a specific microphone using the
mic
command line parameter is specified, the microphone passed via the command line is used before the allowed microphones prioritization.
Solved issues
- The error message reporting an internal audio error if connection to the Nuance PowerMic Mobile app is temporarily lost (for example, by putting the Nuance PowerMic Mobile app to the background on the end user's device) is now displayed. The recording state no longer becomes out of sync in this scenario. [SOD-6025, CAVE-1052]
- The Nuance PowerMic Mobile pairing dialog box no longer takes up to two minutes to open in high load and high latency Citrix environments. [SOD-5963, CAVE-1086]
- The Dictation Box no longer opens when trying to dictate into protected Microsoft Word documents containing fields that can be filled out by end users. [SOD-5463, SOD-6030]
- The configuration setting
ServerURL
is no longer incorrectly treated as case-sensitive. [SOD-3570]
- When transferring text from the Dictation Box, the characters +, ^, %, ~, (, ), [, ], { and } are now handled properly (if the transfer method is "simulate keystrokes"). [SOD-5879]
- The Philips SpeechMike control device is now properly listed in the Dragon Medical One Desktop Applicaiton logon dialog box in non-English operating system environments. [SOD-5904]
- In the ClickOnce package, the personalization and help window is now displayed properly when Dragon Medical Server 3.0 (or higher) is used. [SOD-6610, SOD-6632]
- The Dictation Box no longer opens when dictating into editable sections within a protected Microsoft Word document. [SOD-5463]

- Dragon Medical Server 3.0 (or higher) is required.

End-of-life: Third party environments
Support for third party environments is only valid as long as they are supported by the corresponding vendor and might be subject to other restrictions. Please contact Nuance Technical Support for details. For more information, see the documentation delivered with the third party product and supporting Nuance documentation.
When support by the vendor has stopped, Nuance will continue support if an issue is specific to the Nuance solution, within the limitations of the vendor’s and Nuance's end-of-life policy. This means that issues that are a combination of the vendor’s component and the Nuance solution cannot be supported.
