Did you know Dragon Medical 360 | Network Edition 2.x User Profiles are now deleted and imported / exported from the Dragon Medical 360 | Network Edition Client?
The Dragon Medical 360 | Network Edition (DM360|NE) product, beginning in version 2.0 (client version 12.5), has moved the following profile functions from the Nuance Management Console (NMC) to the individual DM360|NE client:
- Profile Deletion:
In the Options window, use the Delete my profile and create new setting.

- Importing and Exporting a profile:
In the Open User Profile window, when the Profile is opened, the Export button is shown (below). This button changes to an Import button if no Profile is opened after logging in with a User Account.

These three (3) functions should not be confused with the Delete and Import functions available on the NMC for User Accounts only. The exception with the NMC's handling of Speech Profiles is its Backup and Restore capability shown below in the NMC's User Profile Management ribbon.

Did you know how Dragon Medical 360 | Network Edition 2.x User Accounts can be assigned Speech Profiles?
In the Dragon Medical 360 | Network Edition (DM360|NE) product, a User Profile consists of a User Account that is assigned to a Speech Profile.
User Profile = User Account + Speech Profile
A User Account created on the Nuance Management Console (NMC) is linked to a NuanceMC database record. That User Account then needs to be assigned to a Speech Profile. The Speech Profile contains acoustic, language, and vocabulary structures. Assigning a Speech Profile to a User Account can be accomplished in DM360|NE 2.x, by any of the following methods:
- Importing an existing DM360|NE 2.x (v12.5) Speech Profile through the Dragon Client
- Creating a new (v12.5) Speech Profile from the Dragon Client through the New User Wizard
- Associating a legacy DM360|NE 1.0 (v10.5) Speech Profile through the NMC Profile Association Tool
- Associating a legacy Dragon Medical Enterprise Edition DMEE v10.5 Speech Profile through the NMC Profile Association Tool
Note, that after associating either DM360|NE 1.0 or DMEE Speech Profiles through the NMC Profile Association Tool, those profiles must be upgraded using the DM360|NE 2.0 Profile Upgrade process. Profile upgrades are required whenever transitioning between major DM360|NE client versions, for example v10.5 to v12.5. This is because the aforementioned acoustic, language, and vocabulary structures have changed.
Any upgrade to DM360|NE 2.0 requires the existing customer system be at DM360|NE 1.0 SP3 or higher.

Did you know Dragon Medical 360 | Network Edition 1.0 User Profiles can still be used throughout the Profile Upgrade to Dragon Medical 360 | Network Edition 2.0?
Customers who are upgrading to Dragon Medical 360 | Network Edition 2.0 (DM360|NE) will need to upgrade their on-premise equipment regardless of whether they are migrating to the Nuance Cloud.
In general, if DM360|NE 1.0 Speech Profiles are being upgraded:
- DM360|NE 1.0 Speech Profiles are upgraded in bulk, based on their NMC Site.
- Each version (1.0 and 2.0) of DM360|NE Speech Profile is stored in its own respective Profile directory location.
- Each version (1.0 and 2.0) of DM360|NE Client will only access its own respective Profile directory location.
- After the DM360|NE 2.0 Speech Profile upgrade, a copy of the DM360|NE 1.0 Speech Profiles will remain in the 1.x Profile directory location.
- If desired, these DM360|NE 1.0 Speech Profiles can continue to be accessed during login, and optimized, until their DM360|NE 1.0 client software can be upgraded to version 2.0.
- Both DM360|NE 1.0 and DM360|NE 2.0 Speech Profiles can be accessed by their respective version of DM360|NE Client and can continue to log in and be optimized in a DM360|NE 2.0 system.
- DM360|NE 1.0 Speech Nodes are required to continue to optimize DM360|NE 1.0 Speech Profiles, while DM360|NE 2.0 Speech Nodes are required to optimize DM360|NE 2.0 Speech Profiles.
- DM360|NE 1.0 and 2.0 Speech Nodes can both be assigned to the same Speech Node Collection as needed. The DM360|NE 2.0 Profile Optimizer server will route each version of Speech Profile to its respective version of Speech Node.
- For the DM360|NE 2.0 Speech Profile upgrade, allow 15 minutes of time for each Speech Profile.

Upgrading the DM360|NE Client software for the entire user population at one time can be resource-intensive. In order to mitigate this, especially for single NMC Sites housing a large number of Speech Profiles, consider the current DM360|NE 2.x upgrade workflow below:
- All Speech Profiles are upgraded at one time, on a per-NMC Site basis.
- However, the DM360|NE client upgrades to 2.0 could take more of a phased approach since the existing DM360|NE 1.0 clients are still able to log in and be optimized.
- The downside would be any changes that occur after the 2.0 Profile upgrade has been upgraded, will not be available for the DM360|NE 2.0 User Profile.

Did you know you could format a range of text by using voice commands?
There are many different formatting commands that allow for acting upon a range of text. You can accomplish this by adding the word "through" to the spoken command followed by a second word. For instance, let's look at the following sentence as a reference.
"The patient presents to the ER complaining of pain in her lower abdomen."
- You could say, "Select abdomen" to highlight the word abdomen.
- You could say, "Select pain through abdomen," to highlight all of the words from "pain" through "abdomen."
Click the play button on the following eTIPS video image for a brief demonstration on how to use voice commands that will format a range of text.

The following table includes many of the common voice commands used to format a range of text.
