Dragon Medical Network Edition version 2.7.4 is a service release that includes software fixes to address defects reported by Dragon Medical Network Edition customers. DMNE 2.7.4 software is available on the Nuance Healthcare Support Platform as a full installation, or service pack installer. This release includes updates to both the DMNE client and the minitracker.
The DMNE 2.7.4 release is recommended for providers who experience slowness in Cerner CoPath with Microsoft Word using previous versions of Dragon Medical Network Edition. Users who work with Epic Hyperspace 2018 will observe dictated fields are properly attributed. In addition, this service pack includes an integrated update for the Powermic SDK to address a crash that occurred in Dragon Medical Network Edition.
This release is optional for all other providers.
Note attribution content does not appear for fields where text has been dictated in Hyperspace 2018
Corrected an issue where note attribution was not properly recorded when dictating into Hyperspace 2018. DMNE 2.7.4 corrects the issue and allows dictated content in fields to be properly attributed.
Affects both local and Citrix installations of Epic Hyperspace 2018.
Jumping cursor and no dictation at cursor after completing first report in Cerner CoPath
Providers using Cerner CoPath may experience the cursor jump, or dictation may not be inserted into their document after saving their first report and dictating into additional reports. With DMNE 2.7.4, the cursor does not move erratically, and text is placed correctly in the first document, and all subsequent documents.
Loss of full-text control following use of the Spell dialog in published EMRs published on Citrix
Providers dictating into published EMRs using Citrix XenApp clients 7.6 and newer will observe loss of full-text control after selecting from the Spell dialog box and replacing the text in their document. This issue is corrected in DMNE 2.7.4: when text is selected in the Spell dialog and transferred to the published application, full-text control resumes immediately.
Dragon Medical crashes with an access violation in PowermicHid.dll
Dragon crashes intermittently with an access violation in PowermicHid.dll; the crash may be observed in the dragon log. DMNE 2.7.4 includes a new version of the Powermic SDK that is installed automatically during the DMNE client installation. PM SDK version 4.6 Hotfix 8 prevents the crash from occurring.

Both the full build and service pack are available on the Nuance Healthcare Support Platform for US English and UK English editions. DMNE service pack 2.7.4 can be installed over any existing installation of DMNE 2.x.
This release contains updates for both the Dragon Medical Network Edition client, and also the minitracker (for Citrix support).
Nuance recommends to update both the DMNE client and minitracker to achieve optimal performance and results.
Note to Epic customers: Support for Epic Hyperspace 2018 running on Citrix requires upgrading both the Dragon client and the minitracker.
