Release overview

Dragon Medical Advisor 1.5 integrates the HCC Guidance provider workflow; this module was formerly known as Nuance Quality and Risk Adjustment.

Nuance Management Center (NMC) administrators can filter the HCC codes and specificity advice displayed to users.

The coding assistant screen (formerly known as the code extractor) has been extended to include procedure search and CPT codes.

You can now define the healthcare setting of your NMC sites.

What's new

HCC Guidance

Nuance Quality and Risk Adjustment has been renamed to HCC Guidance. When this feature is enabled, the advisor window displays suspecting and recapture HCC opportunities for the current patient. The user can review the evidence for these opportunities in the patient's charts.

To enable this feature, Dragon Medical Advisor must be able to get the patient context from the EHR and the user must be assigned a Quality and Risk Adjustment license.

Coding assistant

The code extractor tab has been renamed to coding assistant; users access it via the options menu in the advisor window. To enable this feature, the user must be assigned a Quality and Risk Adjustment license.

Procedure search and CPT codes

The coding assistant now enables users to search for procedures; it then displays the corresponding Intelligent Medical Object (IMO) descriptions and CPT procedure codes.

Advice filters and HCC filters

The amount of advice displayed to users is customizable via NMC. You can filter advice for specific diagnoses/specifiers at the organization, site, group and user level, based on the DMA usage requirements of the organization.

HCC Guidance: You can also filter the HCC codes displayed to users.

For more information, see the Dragon Medical One Installation and Administration Guide.

Healthcare setting

For improved Dragon Medical Advisor reporting in large organizations, NMC now enables you to define the healthcare setting of your sites.
