Nuance Healthcare
Nuance Management Center 6.4 includes system optimizations to improve resiliency and the following changes:
User creation now allows empty passwords for single sign-on users
Dragon Anywhere and Dragon Professional Anywhere users can now press the Forgot Password link on the application's login screen to reset their password. After entering their login ID, Nuance Management Center sends a link to the users' email address specified in the NMC console, enabling them to reset their password.
TLS 1.1 or 1.2 options are now available on the Site page>Dragon Medical Network Edition tab>Master user profile section>Configure>SSL Settings tab.
For more information, see the SSL Settings section of the "Site page" topic in the NMC Help or the Nuance Management Center Administrator Guide.
It is now possible to export and import commands of type Dragon Medical Server. You can export the commands from an organization, site, or group to a .DAT file. You can then import the .DAT file into another organization, site, group, or user.
You can only export or import commands that were created on a Dragon Medical One client.
For more information, see the Exporting commands and Importing commands sections of the "Working with commands" topic in the NMC Help or the Nuance Management Center Administrator Guide.
The Immediately synchronize updated words and phrases when loading a user profile option allows you to add new and modified words and phrases available in Nuance Management Center to the user's local vocabulary when the user profile opens.
For more information, see the "Site page" topic in the NMC Help or the Nuance Management Center Administrator Guide
Central Authentication access is now role-based. You determine which users can view the Central Authentication tab in the NMC console by granting users the View Organization grant. Users who are administrators with any super user grant can also view this tab.
For more information on these grants, see the "Configuring Central Authentication" section in the Nuance Management Center Server Installation and Configuration Guide.
The Central Authentication tab in the NMC console has been redesigned. You can now view your organization's federated relationships in the user interface.
For more information, see the "Managing federated relationships for Central Authentication" section in the NMC Help or in the Nuance Management Center Administrator Guide.
If you configure a SAML federated relationship, you can opt to use a custom SAML request signing certificate instead of using the default certificate. You can add, renew, and delete custom certificates.
You must have the Manage Central Authentication Signing Certificates grant to manage custom signing certificates.
For more information on custom SAML request signing certificates, see the "Managing federated relationships for Central Authentication" section in the NMC Help or in the Nuance Management Center Administrator Guide.
For more information on the Manage Central Authentication Signing Certificates grant, see the "Configuring Central Authentication" section in the Nuance Management Center Server Installation and Configuration Guide.
You can now view Central Authentication events in the Audit Events utility.
For more information, see the "Viewing Central Authentication audit events" section in the Nuance Management Center Server Installation and Configuration Guide.
When you download the Local Authenticator installation package from the Nuance Management Center console, the installation guide is now included in the package.
If you have enabled Central Authentication in your environment, you can now create new users without passwords to allow the users to log in to client applications using a third-party identity provider rather than their native Nuance Management Center credentials.
To create users with empty passwords, deselect the Do not allow empty passwords system setting, and ensure password complexity requirements are not set. For more information, see the "System Settings page" topic in the NMC Help or the Nuance Management Center Administrator Guide.
There are two new HIM reports available on the HIM Reports ribbon:
Feature Analysis Report—The Feature Analysis report measures six EditScript-MT productivity-enhancing features. This helps you determine whether Medical Transcriptionists (MTs) are using the time-saving functions of ESMT, and how productive they are with their time. The information is cumulative, including data from the last three analyses.
You must have the HIM Reporting Feature Usage Analysis Report privilege to generate, view, subscribe and download the Feature Analysis report.
For more information, including the MT behaviors measured, see the "Feature Analysis Report" topic in the NMC Help or in the Nuance Management Center Administrator Guide.
Pending Analysis Report—The Pending Analysis report provides statistics on the amount, type and reason for the pending messages that occur in your organization. This report also provides insight on the clinicians, transcriptionists, worktypes, business entities, and transcription groups that create the most pending messages. In addition, this report indicates which users are un-pending reports, which helps you understand which users are your most productive EditScript-QA and EMon pending list users.
You must have the HIM Reporting Pending Analysis Report privilege to generate, view, subscribe and download the Pending Analysis report.
For more information, see the Pending Analysis Report section in the NMC Help or in the Nuance Management Center Administrator Guide.
A PowerConnect Communicator license is now available to purchase and import. This license enables the Product Manage PS360 privilege.
