Release overview

Nuance Management Center 6.5 includes system optimizations to improve resiliency and the following changes:

What's new

Clinical Documentation Excellence

• New license type available

  The ED Risk and Safety license is now available. This license enables the patient risk and safety functionality. The Product Manage Clinical Documentation Excellence privilege also becomes enabled when you purchase and import this license.

Dragon Medical Network Edition

• Profile Optimizer speech nodes re-compiled to support TLS 1.2

  Profile Optimizer speech node components have been re-compiled to target .NET 4.7.1, which supports TLS 1.2. You can upgrade your existing speech nodes without first uninstalling them.

• Profile Optimizer Server Migration Tool re-compiled to support TLS 1.2

  The Profile Optimizer Server Migration Tool has been re-compiled to target .NET 4.7.1, which supports TLS 1.2. You can upgrade your existing tool without first uninstalling your existing tool.

Dragon Medical Virtual Assistant

• New privileges required to access DMVA pages

  New privileges are now required to access the following pages:

  • Dragon Medical Virtual Assistant Product page (Organization Details>Products>Dragon Medical Virtual Assistant)
  • Dragon Medical Virtual Assistant Auto-provisioning page (Organization Details>Auto-provisioning>Dragon Medical Virtual Assistant)

  You must have one of the following privileges:

  • Product Manage Dragon Medical Server

    Or

  • Product Manage Dragon Medical Virtual Assistant

General

• Improvements made to support accessibility and usability

  Changes have been made to Nuance Management Center and the documentation to improve accessibility and usability.

• Audit event improvements

  Audit events have been enhanced to include more detailed information about the event that occurred. In addition, some events no longer require the Super User grant to ensure your organization's NMC Administrator can view the events.

• Field order changed on Audit Events page and Profile Optimizer Tasks page

  The order of fields was changed slightly on the Audit Events page and the Profile Optimizer Tasks page. These changes were implemented to improve accessibility and usability.

• Local Authenticator no longer requires TLS 1.0 to install TLS 1.2

  The Local Authenticator installer no longer requires TLS 1.0 to be installed in your environment before installing TLS 1.2

Obsolete functionality

The following functionality has been removed from Nuance Management Center release 6.5.

• User Profile Association Tool removed

  The User Profile Association Tool has been removed from the Tools menu (Utilities>Tools).

Downloading and installing Profile Optimizer speech nodes

Profile Optimizer speech node functionality has been re-compiled to target .NET 4.7.1, which supports TLS 1.2. You can upgrade your existing speech nodes without first uninstalling them.

Do the following:

1. Open Nuance Management Center and log in to the console.
2. Select the Utilities ribbon.
3. Click Tools.

4. Click Install profile optimizer speech node.

   The executable file downloads.

5. Locate the PO.SpeechNode.exe file on your server, and then double-click it to run the installation.
6. Follow the prompts to upgrade your Profile Optimizer speech node.

Downloading and installing the Profile Optimizer Server Migration Tool

1. Open Nuance Management Center and log in to the console.
2. Select the Utilities ribbon.
3. Click Tools.

4. Click Install profile optimizer server migration tool.

   The executable file downloads.

5. Locate the PO.ServerMigrationTool.exe file on your server, and then double-click it to run the installation.
6. Follow the prompts to upgrade your Profile Optimizer Server Migration Tool.
