eTIPS
Did you know that there is a registry fix to allow Microphone and foot pedal functionality for RadWhere Dictation Client running Microsoft® Windows 7
With the release of RadWhere version 3.0.31.4, users can now run the RadWhere Dictation Client in Microsoft Windows 7, 32 and 64 bit environments.
While performing the client installs, some users have noticed that the Speech functionality is not enabled due to the microphone not being recognized. Foot pedal functionality has been noted as being effected as well. This happens because the HIDDEV.dll and\or the USBMGR.dll are failing to register with Microsoft® Windows 7. To restore the microphone and\or foot pedal functionality, the regfix utility will need to be run on the client workstation.
Perform the following to re-register the DLLs and restore the microphone and/or foot pedal functionality:
-
Login to iSupport and search for solution 14391: "Microphone or Foot Pedal not Recognized in Windows 7." If you are not an iSupport subscriber, click iSupport Timesaver for more information on how to get started.
Scroll to the Attachments section, located at the bottom of the article, and click the file named regfix.zip.
-
When the File Download - Security Warning dialog box appears, click Save.
-
When the Save As dialog box appears, save the file to a location of your choice. Please take note of the location where you saved the zip file.
Launch the Microsoft Explorer application and navigate to the folder where the zip file is located.
Right click the regfix.zip file and choose Winzip > Extract to here.
- Double click the regfix.bat file. The script will run quickly and disappear.

Did you know that you can export graphs, created in RadCube, and import into Microsoft PowerPoint?
Perform the following to import a RadCube graph into Microsoft PowerPoint:
-
Open First Graph in your project that you want to export (typically named
Guide).
Click Edit > Copy Graph To > Clipboard > Large. This copies a large view of the graph to your clipboard.

Launch Microsoft PowerPoint.
Open a new or existing presentation.
Navigate to the slide where you would like to insert the graph, or create a blank slide.
-
On the slide, click Paste. A copy of the graph appears on the slide.

For more information about importing RadCube Graphs into Microsoft PowerPoint, login to iSupport and search for solution L-3219-004: "User Guide, RadCube for Radiology 1.5." If you are not an iSupport subscriber, click iSupport Timesaver to learn more about how you can get started with iSupport.

Did you know how to specify how long audit content is kept for final reports?
There is a setting within the system configuration in the RadWhere Admin\Portal where you can specify how long audit content will be kept in the database before purging. This audit data (TXT, RFT, WAV) is available from the auditing grid when previewing the history of a report. When the time specified in this setting elapses, the audited content is deleted in order to protect the database from growing uncontrollably.
Click the play button on the following eTIPS Video to see a demonstration on how to configure the amount of time to keep audit content.

Please Note: This data is not to be confused with the final report text, which stays in the database indefinitely.
For more information on how to configure how long audit content is kept, login to iSupport and search for solution L-3220.002: "RadWhere for Radiology v3.0 Administrator Guide." If you are not an iSupport subscriber, click iSupport Timesaver to learn more about how you can get started with iSupport.
