Did you know you may need to enable NPAPI in Chrome Version 42+ for java applets?

To use Chrome Version 42 and earlier versions, an additional configuration step is required to continue using NPAPI plugins. The latest chrome update no longer supports NPAPI which prevents the Java Applet uploader from loading.
Below are the steps to enable it.

  1. In your URL bar, enter: chrome://flags/#enable-npapi

  2. Click the Enable link for the Enable NPAPI configuration option.

  3. Click the Relaunch button that now appears at the bottom of the configuration page.

Did you know you can reconcile th DICOM header data with an on-site Modality Worklist Server?

When a study's demographic data needs to be reconciled with information from a RIS via a DICOM Modality Worklist (or MWL) server, the online QA feature can be set up as a MWL Service Class Provider (or SCP).

NoteNOTE: This is a premium feature and may not be available under all subscription plans. If you would like to upgrade your billing plan, please contact your outreach representative or call support.

To set up a Modality Worklist server:

  1. Click the Admin tab.

  2. Click the DICOM Settings icon.

  3. Enter the IP Address, Port, Called AE Title (of the server), and the Calling AE Title (of the client).

NoteNOTE: The Calling AE Title can be used to set up a filter on the MWL SCP which returns only the valid records needed for reconciliation. The check boxes indicate which fields will be overwritten in the DICOM header with the new values returned from the MWL SCP.

  4. When finished, click the Save button at the bottom of the Modality Worklist SCP Settings section.

To reconcile DICOM header data with an on-site Modality Worklist server:

  1. From the Images tab, locate the image you want to modify.

  2. Click the edit icon to open the Edit Demographic Data dialog box.

  3. Click the Reconcile with Modality Worklist link. Upon entering the reconciliation workflow, the application will initiate a DICOM modality worklist request to the configured server and request matching records based on the patient's name in the original study demographics.

  4. Modify the query filter by changing the time range or any known matching fields.

  5. To submit an updated query, click the magnifying glass icon after entering the filter details. All matching records from the MWL SCP are shown listed in a dynamic table.

  6. Select the record you would like to use and click Next.

  7. PowerShare displays a final confirmation screen showing the original study demographics at the top, followed by the new data that will be used to overwrite the DICOM header. Keep in mind that only the fields specified in the admin settings will actually be modified. A check box on the final confirmation screen provides the option of pushing the study to the default accelerator once the reconciliation process is complete. This check box is selected by default.

  8. To complete the process, click the Reconcile button, on the Confirmation screen, and the system will complete the updates. It might take a few seconds to process the request and initiate the transfer of the updated DICOM files to the accelerator. In some cases, large studies may not appear in the PACS for a few minutes.
