Did you know you can modify study demographics, via the AGW, by using customer edit rules?

In certain systems, it's sometimes preferred that the Accession Number, Institution Name, MRN, or other details have a certain string to them. You can set these up under Advanced Settings in your Accelerator, as follows:

1. Under Admin, Click Manage Accelerators.
2. Click the Blue Pencil for your Accelerator.
3. Under the selected Sending Channel, click Show Advanced Settings
4. Under Study Edits, the following changes are allowed: Overwrite, Prepend, and Append to the following fields:
• Accession Number
• MRN
• Institution Name
• Patient Comments
• Referring Physician
• Study Comments
• Study Description
5. Click the + symbol when the updates are complete.

Any future study, uploading via the updated Accelerator channel, will be edited before it hits your PowerShare account.

Did you know you can use prepend rules and autoshare to have images automatically shared with certain physicians or groups?

Do you have a specific site that you would like to have images automatically shared with certain physicians or groups? With prepend rules and autoshare, you can control which sites will autoshare with certain users.

To setup prepend rules:

1. Under Admin, click Manage Accelerators.
2. Click the Blue Pencil for your Accelerator.
3. Under the selected Sending Channel, click Show Advanced Settings
4. Under Study Edits, the following changes are allowed: Overwrite, Prepend, and Append to the following fields: 
• Accession Number 
• MRN
  
• Institution Name
• Patient Comments
• Referring Physician
• Study Comments
• Study Description
5. Click the + symbol when the updates are complete.
6. After your study edit rules have been set, click the Contacts tab.
7. Find the contact you would like to create a rule for, and then select the blue drop down and Create AutoShare Rule.
8. Under subject, select the criteria you used for your study edit. The example below uses InstitutionName:
• Prepend InstitutionName with [NUAN]:
1. For subject, you would put InstitutionName
2. Comparator 'contains'
3. Criteria [NUAN]
9. Click Submit.

All future studies uploaded to that sending channel will share with those selected physicians.

Did you know you can now add reports to PowerShare studies using HL7?

PowerShare has added a new feature to your already installed Accelerator Gateway that allows reports to be attached to studies uploaded to PowerShare from your current HIS/RIS system using the HL7 protocol without the need for VPN. The HL7 channel can be configured and live within minutes. Contact PowerShare support to ensure your billing plan has access to this feature and become report enabled!

What's New for All Users?

• Alternate Uploader: Only activated when the customer is having difficulty using the existing uploader. (Activation performed by support on an as needed basis.)
• Auto-Logout for Inactivity: Notification for inactivity timeout.

What's New for Facility Accounts?

• HIPAA Audit Trail Updates: Added Time to the Date fields for more detailed audit information.

What's New for Administrators?

• Delete Images and Delete Report Options: You can now delete images before the 45 day automatic purge occurs. And you can now manually delete reports from the system.

Best Practice Reminder

User Audits:

We recommend auditing your PowerShare users list on a weekly basis. Be sure to disable any users that should no longer have access (terminated employees, employees no longer needing access to PowerShare).

If you are not receiving our maintenance notification messages:

1. Confirm that your email address is on the notification list and that the log shows the messages being successfully delivered to you by emailing Support@NuancePowerShare.com and opening a ticket.
2. Check your spam/junk folder for the message. Set your spam/junk folder options to allow these messages to be delivered to your inbox.
3. Add delivery@b2b-mail.net  to your whitelist.
4. Investigate with your email administration why the message is not making it to your inbox.
