eTIPSeTIPS

Did you know there are advanced search options to expand the scope of searching for an image?

The basic search, above the images tab, is a great way to find images fast, but when you need to do an expanded search with additional search criteria, you will want to use the Advanced Search option.

Facility / Physician users can access the advanced search page by clicking the link located next to the basic search button on the upper right hand corner of the screen.

Unlike the basic search, which only returns results included in the last 600 uploaded or shared studies, the advanced search can include ALL shared and uploaded images in its results. In addition, users can provide a study date range along with one to three criteria options from the available drop down lists. The date range, along with each additional criteria option, filters the results further; thereby, allowing users to perform a very precise search.

Did you know you can access facility accounts from a single login with Cross-Site Login?

Administrators, physicians and clerks who work at different facilities must have a separate account under each facility in order to login under that site. However, it is possible to use the same email address when creating subsequent accounts at other facilities.

When using an existing account’s email address to create a sub-user account under another facility, the system will auto-populate the name and password for that account.

Once created, the subsequent account, which the user now has access, will appear in a drop-down menu below the user’s name at the top of the page.  Selecting between the available facilities will switch the user to the account created under that facility. This will give the user access to the images, account tools, etc. for that facility.

Did you know there are many different notifications that can be sent to you via email?

There are many notifications that can be sent to you via email based on your selection of Notification Preferences under Account Settings.

You can get emails based upon various rules, including but not limited to:

  • Account created for you
  • Message being sent to you in PowerShare
  • Contact Requests
  • Shared Images
  • Image Requests
  • Comments being added to your image set
  • Image Uploads into your account
  • Accelerator enabled, disabled, or removed

You can change these settings by signing in to PowerShare and selecting your name and 'Account Settings,' which is near the top. On the next screen, select 'Notification Preferences' and place a check box by each notification for which you would like to receive an email.

ImportantIMPORTANT: These emails can sometimes be blocked by your local email filter, moved to your [SPAM] folder, or even blocked all together based on corporate rules. If you feel that you are not receiving your email notifications, please contact our support desk at (866) 809-4746 or support@nuancepowershare.com - so we can work together to resolve this issue.

Upcoming Maintenance

We have scheduled maintenance on our VRAnywhere voice dictation services. Details surrounding this scheduled maintenance are listed below.

When?

Sunday, November 15, 2015 from 3:00am until 7:00am EST

Which platforms will be affected?

What can I expect?

During this maintenance window, users may experience issues with the following:

  • Logging into the VRAnywhere report editor
  • Accessing saved VRAnywhere templates and autotexts
  • Dictating report into the VRAnwyhere report editor

During the maintenance period, we will keep our status page up to date with any new information,

If you are not receiving our maintenance notification messages:

  1. Confirm that your email address is on the notification list and that the log shows the messages being successfully delivered to you by emailing support@nuancepowershare.com and opening a ticket.
  2. Check your spam/junk folder for the message.  Set your spam/junk folder options to allow these messages to be delivered to your inbox.
  3. Add delivery@b2b-mail.net  to your whitelist.
  4. Investigate with your email administration why the message is not making it to your inbox.
Special Reminder for Chrome Users

The Java plug-in for web browsers relies on the cross platform plugin architecture NPAPI, which has long been, and currently is, supported by all major web browsers. Google has followed through with their plans to remove NPAPI support from Chrome.  With the most recent release (v51) Google Chrome will no longer support NPAPI, thus they are effectively dropping support for Silverlight, Java, Facebook Video and other similar NPAPI based plugins.
The following Java-based PowerShare products will be affected by this change:

  • File Upload Tool*
  • Modality Worklist Reconcile
  • Clinical Viewer*

Java is still supported on other main-stream browsers such as Firefox, Internet Explorer and Safari.  Chrome users are encouraged to switch to an alternate browser should they have any issues accessing the products listed above.

* These products have alternative versions available that do not require Java.  Please contact support or your outreach coordinator to discuss available options.

As you are aware, technologies rapidly evolve and change every day. Keeping this in mind, we will no longer be providing support for some older technologies. Our mission is to ensure that our software is compatible with the latest technologies available.
