This video topic applies to the Dragon Medical 360 | Network Edition (DMNE) and Dragon Medical Practice Edition products, and covers the setup and operation of the Dragon Medical Remote Microphone Application.

The Dragon Medical Remote Microphone Application allows a smartphone to be used as microphone for Dragon Medical speech recognition on a local workstation. The main difference between the Remote Microphone Application and the PowerMic™ Mobile solution (see eTIP #2) is that PowerMic Mobile is a hosted solution.

    Did you know the Microsoft Problem Steps Recorder (PSR) can also identify edit controls within target applications?

    The Microsoft PSR.EXE (Problem Steps Recorder) utility enables users to record their interactions with an application and provide a detailed screen-by-screen view with accompanying information. Normally, this tool can be invoked through the Windows Run window by typing "PSR.exe" (without the quotes).

    The PSR utility can also be used to identify the name/class of different edit controls within multiple target applications where speech is recognized by Dragon Medical products. This is beneficial when determining whether unsupported edit controls are the reason why Dragon Medical's Full Text Control feature may not be enabled.

    Nuance Depot Repair Service

    Click here for a Web Form to submit a Depot Repair Service Request for Connexions Station (C-phone), Optic Mic, PowerMic, Philips Speech Mic, tape-based recording devices, digital recorders, etc. iSupport members can save time by simply logging in to iSupport and submitting a service request choosing "Depot" as the Request Type.

    NOTE: There is no need to submit a Depot Repair Service Request on a PowerMic under a current Nuance Maintenance Contract. Call Nuance's Customer Account Management team at 800-339-7683 to get the broken PowerMic replaced. At the prompt simply say, "PowerMic Replacement."
