Nuance Webinar - Building a cloud-based image data exchange

Cloud-based image and imaging data exchange networks are driving a new level of patient service and physician satisfaction; but building and supporting these large mission-critical networks can come with some very basic concerns….

  • How do I set up external sites to send images electronically?
    Who tracks the phone calls?
  • Do physicians know outside studies are available and ready to view?
  • What if we use the same viewer for our enterprise as well as
    external images?
  • How do I keep up with the increase in outside images when
    CD's are increasingly unreliable?

With questions like these, you can't help but wonder if you can really reap the promised benefits.

  Kathy Tunstall

We invite you to join us for an insightful conversation and learn more about how Nuance Healthcare helped OSU:

  • Quadruple their network size in less than ninety days from 15 to 69 sites — and growing at 15 new sites a month; leveraging existing PowerScribe customers.
  • Build a single repository for inbound and outbound traffic to deliver new value to key clinical departments, including Emergency Care, Oncology and Neurology.
  • A single point of consolidation without impacting performance and scalability.

Did you know you can add images to an existing upload on PowerShare?

If the same set of images for a patient is uploaded a second time, with an additional images or series – PowerShare will add the additional images to the existing image-set.

note

NOTE: In order to remove images, you must delete the entire image-set from PowerShare. Then, upload the image-set again without the unwanted images.

Did you know you have multiple options when viewing images on PowerShare?

PowerShare provides a full suite of image visualization and review features. Whether you are a surgeon preparing for a procedure or a PACS administrator reviewing an image set prior to retrieval to the hospital PACS, the tools are available to support you.

Basic – Launches the basic viewer, a simple JPEG display of the images which provides minimal manipulation functionality, but offers the easiest access from any computer.

Clinical – Launches the default clinical viewer for your account. Clinical viewers provide more manipulation functionality and are advanced viewers used primarily by physicians. Click here for additional information regarding available clinical viewers on PowerShare.
Note: Administrators can select a default from available choices using the Clinical Viewer Preference option under the Admin tab.

These viewer options are available as Basic and Clinical buttons under the Viewer Option pane, which is located to the right of the results section of the Images tab. Multiple image sets can be compared side-by-side within the clinical viewer. Click the check box to the left of each row to indicate which studies should be opened prior to clicking the Clinical viewer button.

Did you know you can filter you contact list?

Contact lists can become lengthy once they are connected to facilities, physicians, and patients. Navigating the contacts list can be made easier using the filtering options below:

Drop Down List - Use the drop-down list located on the left side of the Contacts tab to filter your contacts by the following categories:

    • Patients
    • Physicians
    • Hospital/Facility
    • Groups
    • All Contacts (default)

Alphabetic Filter - Click any one of the letters in the alphabet line to see a list of all contacts that begin with that letter.

Page Numbers - Click one of the pointers that surround the page numbers to go to a specific page of contacts.

Contact Filters

note

NOTE: Contacts that are pending acceptance to invites are sorted to the bottom of filtered results.
