Did you know what the Anti-Virus recommendations for Dragon Medical (DMNE) are?

Nuance recommends installing anti-virus software on all Dragon Medical 360 | Network Edition (DMNE) servers and clients for obvious protection of the customer system from potential downtime due to malware.

However, please log into iSupport and search for solution 15981: Anti-Virus recommendations for Dragon Medical 360 | Network Edition to review details for the following recommended categories of folder, process, file, and application exclusions that should be removed from any anti-virus scans:

  • DMNE Client Exclusions
  • DMNE Master User Profile Exclusions
  • DMNE Server Exclusions
  • Microsoft Recommends Excluding DFSR System Folders from Antivirus Scans
  • XenApp Server Exclusions
  • Virtual Endpoint Related Exclusions
  • EHR Target Application Exclusions
  • Novell® Product Exclusions

Observing these recommended exclusions will ensure the proper operation of the DMNE components.

Did you know you can download legacy software for Dragon Medical Direct?

Please log into iSupport and search for solution 16970: Dragon Medical Direct (Standalone) - Legacy Software Downloads.

This solution provides previous versions of Dragon Medical | Direct (Direct) Standalone software for instances when customers require the ability to rollback their installation and return/reload to a previous build.

This will address cases where Direct upgrades may be unsuccessful.

Currently, Direct (Standalone) version 2.1 Service Release 2 is available for download.

Did you know that an improper DMNE server reboot sequence can cause NMC Data Usage reporting issues?

Customers using Dragon Medical 360 | Network Edition (DMNE) can experience instances where the Nuance Management Server (NMS) stops processing Usage Data due to the DMNE reboot sequence being out of order.

Typically the issue is that the NMS is rebooted first, before SQL, which causes connection errors as well as time-out issues. This stops the NMS server from processing Usage Data. This is evident when running the DMNE Nuance Management Console (NMC) Usage Reports. Users will find that the Usage Data ends after a certain date and no further data is available.

Rebooting the NMS or recycling the Nuance Management Server Service will resolve this problem, prompting the NMS to re-write pertinent entries within SQL and thus restarting the Data Usage processing.

TinaWhat's New with Tina?

Tina, Nuance's web interactive support tool, is a text-based, chat window hosted on your iSupport Home tab that delivers self-service support. Tina offers a human-like conversational approach when communicating with Nuance's customers. The focus for Tina is to quickly and accurately answer common questions about the Dragon Medical product.

December Analytics
This past month's reporting analytics for Tina shows the following metrics:

  • 216 Conversations
    (drop last month is due to December holiday influence)
  • 73% First Contact Answer (FCA)
    ..where the percentage of user inquiries are resolved with the
    first answer. FCA value was equal to last month.
    (see chart below)

    Two (2) survey questions are used to poll our customers and are
    answered most recently up to 14% of the time for the first question
    as shown below.

    Survey results below for Tina represent "Excellent" and "Good"
    responses. The Dragon Medical team is investing more resources
    to improve customer satisfaction. This includes conversation
    analysis and providing improved answers.

    This metric below shows that only 11% of customers logging into
    iSupport actually take advantage of Tina's self-service benefits.

Dragon Medical NuanceLink Medical Updates

    Medication Update

    A recent medical update have been made available for Dragon Medical 360 | Network Edition (DMNE) customers. The customer's Nuance Management Server (NMS) will automatically "pull" (download) these updates as they become available. Once these updates are downloaded, each update will need customer approval through the Nuance Management Console (NMC) Messages page before the update is made available through the Profile Optimizer Server for distribution to the DMNE end-users. Once approved, the task status can be checked through the NMC Utilities under the Profile Optimizer Task List.

Nuance Depot Repair Service

Click here for a Web Form to submit a Depot Repair Service Request for Connexions Station (C-phone), Optic Mic, PowerMic, Philips Speech Mic, tape-based recording devices, digital recorders, etc. iSupport members can save time by simply logging in to iSupport and submitting a service request choosing "Depot" as the Request Type.

NOTE: There is no need to submit a Depot Repair Service Request on a PowerMic under a current Nuance Maintenance Contract. Call Nuance's Customer Account Management team at 800-339-7683 to get the broken PowerMic replaced. At the prompt simply say, "PowerMic Replacement."
