The following table describes the function of the icons on the Explorer toolbar.
NOTE: In nearly all cases, the Menu bar has an identical function if you prefer to use it. |
NOTE: A hidden (grayed out) icon indicates that the feature is not available for the current report or user. |

Closes the Report Editor window and returns you to the Explorer window. |

Saves the report as a Wet Read version. Click here for more information on Wet Reads. |

Saves the selected report as a Draft version. |
||
Sends the selected report to an editor for correction. |
||
Returns a corrected report to the editor or resident (if report was sent to an attending provider). Usually accompanied by a note. Click here for more information about rejecting a report. |

For attending providers, this button (Sign as Preliminary) saves the selected report as a Preliminary version. For residents, this button (Send as Preliminary) sends a draft version of a report to the RIS without changing its status to Pending Signature. The report remains in the resident's Draft queue, allowing her/him to continue editing before sending it to an attending provider for approval. |

Sign: For attending providers, electronically signs the selected report Approve: For a user logged in as a resident, electronically approves the selected report |

Indicates that the report shows normal findings. |
||
Deletes the selected report. |
||
Marks the report as STAT. |
||
Click this icon to report any dictation problem you encounter with the report. The information is sent to technical support. |

Tools for Cut, Copy, and Paste. |

Tools for Undo and Redo of the last command or keystrokes. |
||
Checks your document for spelling errors. |
||
Click to run the Assure consistency checker.

Click to configure and insert a table into the report. (Note: This feature must be enabled by your administrator in order for you to use it.) |

Allows you to capture an image from your desktop (first icon) or from a PACS (second icon) and insert it into the report. |

Allows you to select your PACS from a drop-down list. |

Click to open the PowerShare Network website.

Starts and stops the AutoFeed function, which automatically brings up your next report in the Report Editor, based on your search results. If AutoFeed is running and you click this icon, you will stop automatically receiving the next document. |

Opens the AutoText Editor window. |
||
Lists the existing AutoTexts available for the report. |
||
Opens the AutoText Editor window, using text you selected in your report as the content, or at least part of the content, of a new AutoText. |
||
Adds bold, italics, and underlining to your text. |
||
First icon capitalizes the first letter of each selected word. The second icon capitalizes all letters in all selected words. Note that to return to the original case, click File > Undo, or press Ctrl+Z. |

Lines up (justifies) your text to either the left, center, or right of your report window. |
||
Starts either a numbered or bulleted list. Also applies numbers or bullets to selected text. |
||
Tabs text in or out. |

Click to add a table to your report. |

The Content button opens Assisted Diagnosis, which provides automatic access to radiology knowledge based upon your report text. If you select some text in your report before clicking the button, the selection is used as the basis for the content search. Otherwise, the entire report is used. |
||
The Wizard button is similar to the Content button, but allows you to enter any text as the basis for the content search. The Wizard button opens a dialog box in which you can enter a query (for example, differential diagnosis for kidney mass or atlas of the brain). Assisted Diagnosis then opens, using the specified query text. |
||

Record control: Start/Stop Dictation Playback controls: Play/Pause; Go to Beginning; Rewind; Fast Forward; Go to End Also, a clock showing your position within the audio (number on left) and the total length of the dictation (number on right) in minutes and seconds. |
