Updates to the Central Authentication login component
New IDP User Unique Identifier in NMC for Central Authentication customers providing the ID
There are two new settings on the Organization Details page>Products tab>Dragon Medical Advisor tab:
For more information, see the "Organization Details page" topic in the Nuance Management Center Help.
The following improvements have been made to the configuration text boxes on the Organization Details>Products>Dragon Medical Virtual Assistant page.
The HTML is now rendered in the Instructions text box as a readable page rather than the raw HTML with tags.
The Configuration text box and the Instructions text box now use a monospace fixed-width font.
The Configuration text box and the Instructions text box now support horizontal scrolling.
A new version of the Central Authentication login component (NMS Login Wrapper) has been deployed to production, which contains various bug fixes and minor look and feel changes for Nuance clients that support Central Authentication.
There is a new PowerCast Communicator license type available. This license enables the Product Manage PowerCast privilege.
The following changes have been made to the auto-text import functionality:
If you have configured leading or trailing keywords for your organization, the import process adds them to your imported auto-text commands automatically if the spoken phrase does not already include them.
If the auto-text commands in your import file contain leading or trailing keywords that do not match the keywords currently configured for your organization, a new screen appears during the import process allowing you to remove them. You can specify multiple keywords to be removed, separated by commas.
These changes are applicable for both Dragon format and Nuance Management Server format import files.
For more information, see the "Importing auto-text commands" section of the "Working with auto-texts" topic in the NMC Help.
A unique identifier is assigned to each user account when users log in to a cloud-hosted client application configured for a federated login through Central Authentication. The unique identifier is sent as a claim by your external Identity Provider (IDP) and stored upon successful authentication. The identifier ensures that users in your Active Directory who have multiple email addresses are correctly matched to the appropriate user accounts in Nuance Management Center.
The unique identifier is a read-only value that is visible in the NMC console and you cannot modify or delete it. You also cannot add new identifiers. When unique identifiers change, Nuance Management Center replaces the old value with the new value automatically.
Unique identifiers are currently assigned only for cloud-hosted client applications where a federated login is configured through Central Authentication and a claim for the user’s unique identifier is passed. Identifiers are not assigned when native NMS authentication is in use.
You can view the identifier on the User Account Details>Credentials>IDP ID tab. There are no grants or privileges required to view this tab.
For more information, see the "Viewing IDP unique identifiers" section in the "Managing user accounts" topic of the NMC Help.
The following issues were fixed in Nuance Management Center release 2021.1.
The six-character top level domain constraint has been removed from all email address fields and email domain fields in the Nuance Management Center console.
