Dragon Medical One 2023.3 introduced breaking changes to the Dragon Medical One configuration file structure. Failure to use a configuration file with version 2023.3 or higher as the basis for your deployment will cause the following issues:
Dragon Medical One will display an error during application start, stating that 'The “Flavor” setting is not configured correctly in the configuration file. Please contact your administrator.'
Customizations in the 'DefaultOptions' section of the configuration file won't be applied.
In general, we recommend always using the configuration file delivered with a new release. To transfer any customizations to the new version, you must copy customized values, such as the organization token, to the new configuration file.
If Dragon Medical One is minimized when the user logs off, Dragon Medical One now remembers this and starts in a minimized state when the user next logs on.
The cursor no longer jumps randomly to a different location in the same edit control while dictating. [DMOCE-2089]
The “Corrections” menu no longer displays a black border when opened in virtual server environments. [SOD-50983]
Dragon Medical One no longer closes unexpectedly in virtual server environments. [DMOCE-1935]
Users requesting a password reset from Dragon Medical One now successfully receive the password reset email. [SOD-50298, DMOCE-1886]
The dictated text is now visible when text scrolls in the Dictation Box. [SOD-38105, DMOCE-1925]
Opening the “Manage Auto-Texts” window no longer causes memory leaks. [SOD-51544, DMOCE-1490]
When the user selects “Always use when logging on” during logon, Dragon Medical One now correctly saves their settings and uses them for future logons in virtual server environments. [SOD-50073, DMOCE-1699]
Resolved a Dictation Box issue after refreshing the page in the Edge-enabled mPages component of Cerner Millennium. [SOD-52118, DMOCE-2013]
Users can now transfer text from the Dictation Box to editable sections of DAX Copilot. [SOD-49429]
The DAX Copilot window now stays in the foreground after closing the Dictation Box. [SOD-49870]
The “Corrections” menu is now displayed at the location of the selected text. [SOD-50053]

Delphi TRichEdit
When having VMware Horizon Agent 8 installed, Dragon Medical One might not start again after the application has been closed. The issue has been fixed with the VMware Horizon 2111 release (Horizon Agent 8.4).
When working with a Philips SpeechMike or Nuance PowerMic 4 device, the screen saver is not displayed after the configured period of inactivity when recording is in standby mode.
To disable this behavior, press and hold the left mouse and touchpad buttons on the recording device for five seconds. When the firmware setting has been changed successfully, the device provides visual and audio feedback. This setting is stored on the device and needs to be changed individually on each device.
For more information on supported infrastructure and text control support, see the Dragon Medical One Installation and Administration Guide.

Note: Audio extensions are backwards compatible up to a year. However to take advantage of new functionality, we recommend you upgrade.
If your environment does not meet the minimum requirements outlined, Nuance's ability to assist may be limited. This means that most functionality questions continue to be addressed, but if a bug is suspected or you are running into an issue that requires a technical investigation beyond known issues and fixes, we will recommend that you upgrade to the latest supported version. The following products fall into this best-effort support framework (this list is not comprehensive):
Microsoft Windows 8.1
Support for third-party environments is only valid as long as they are supported by the corresponding vendor and might be subject to other restrictions. Please contact Nuance Technical Support for details. For more information, see the documentation delivered with the third-party product and supporting Nuance documentation.
When standard support by the vendor has stopped, Nuance will continue support if an issue is specific to the Nuance solution, within the limitations of the vendor’s standard end-of-life and Nuance's policy. This means that issues that are a combination of the vendor’s component and the Nuance solution cannot be supported.
