Dragon Medical One 2024.2 requires access to https://dragon.us.dmp.nuance.com via port 443; make sure your firewall doesn’t block this port.
The definition of support for Dragon Medical One has changed to more accurately describe how support is applied to releases. The ‘Support’ period for each release continues to be 12 months after the release date. In the past, this was closely followed by an ‘End of life’ date of approximately 15 months, which was extended for several releases over time. The new definition provides a ‘Limited support' period of 6 months after the ‘Support’ period and an additional period of 6 months before 'End of life’. End of Life is now 24 months after the release date. The new definitions and an updated release version chart are included below.
If you are using an unsupported version, please contact Nuance support immediately for information on how to upgrade.
As part of the evolution to improve performance and provide better user experiences, the Nuance Healthcare ID (NHID) is no longer supported by Nuance and has been discontinued as of April 1, 2024. All registered NHID users had access to Nuance Clinical Calculators, which is now replaced with a much more expansive collection of calculators from MD Calc. Please refer to this link for more details. NHID can no longer be accessed from Dragon Medical One.
Users can now access the Dragon Medical One Training center from the DragonBar menu in addition to accessing it via the 'What You Can Say' window or dictating open training. In the Training center, you can find quick reference guides, tutorial videos, webinars, newsletters and more to help you optimize Dragon Medical One.
Delphi TRichEdit
When having VMware Horizon Agent 8 installed, Dragon Medical One might not start again after the application has been closed. The issue has been fixed with the VMware Horizon 2111 release (Horizon Agent 8.4).
When working with a Philips SpeechMike or Nuance PowerMic 4 device, the screen saver is not displayed after the configured period of inactivity when recording is in standby mode.
To disable this behavior, press and hold the left mouse and touchpad buttons on the recording device for five seconds. When the firmware setting has been changed successfully, the device provides visual and audio feedback. This setting is stored on the device and needs to be changed individually on each device.
Deploying Dragon Medical One using the Windows Installer fails if the user does not have administration rights. To be able to install the MSI package, you must run the Command Prompt as administrator.
Special and accented characters are not correctly retained when using the make that an auto-text voice command in the new 'Manage auto-texts' window.
For more information on supported infrastructure and text control support, see the Dragon Medical One Installation and Administration Guide.

Note: Audio extensions are backwards compatible up to a year. However to take advantage of new functionality, we recommend you upgrade.
If your environment does not meet the minimum requirements outlined, Nuance's ability to assist may be limited. This means that most functionality questions continue to be addressed, but if a bug is suspected or you are running into an issue that requires a technical investigation beyond known issues and fixes, we will recommend that you upgrade to the latest supported version. The following products fall into this best-effort support framework (this list is not comprehensive):
Microsoft Windows 8.1
Support for third-party environments is only valid as long as they are supported by the corresponding vendor and might be subject to other restrictions. Please contact Nuance Technical Support for details. For more information, see the documentation delivered with the third-party product and supporting Nuance documentation.
When standard support by the vendor has stopped, Nuance will continue support if an issue is specific to the Nuance solution, within the limitations of the vendor’s standard end-of-life and Nuance's policy. This means that issues that are a combination of the vendor’s component and the Nuance solution cannot be supported.
